Puppy Daycare – Your busy schedule doesn’t always let you spend a lot of time exercising, potty training, and socializing your pup. Let My Dog’s Place puppy daycare staff help give your pup the extra attention they need.

Available in Stonington & East Lyme.

For pups 10 weeks to 6 months old.

Monday - Friday 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Pups must have at least a Distemper/Parvo vaccine given at or after 8 weeks of age and at least 5 days before beginning daycare at the minimum of 10 weeks of age. Continue to provide us with monthly Distemper/Parvo vaccines after their first visit.

Rabies vaccine proof for those pups over 12 weeks of age.

Classes/Education:

It is through education and training that our facility runs smoothly. It is a requirement for daycare attendance that you attend a class with your puppy. Puppy Primer is for puppies 10 - 20 weeks or Companion Dog Fundamentals is the best choice for anyone older than 5 months.

Please register for a class within the first 4 weeks of daycare attendance.

So that we can provide the best care possible please make reservations with as much notice as possible, some days do fill weeks in advance.

A NOTE ON VACCINES:

Your pup does not need to have "finished" their vaccines or be "fully" vaccinated to start socializing at MDP.

We follow the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) guidelines on puppy vaccines and socialization.

We allow pups to start at 10 weeks old with proof of proper vaccinations.

As long as your pup is receiving their appropriate vaccine updates every month from your veterinarian they are protected. All pups at MDP are vaccinated, this is why we require proof of vaccines from everyone!

After 6 months of age all pups must be spayed/neutered to continue in daycare.

Then pups graduate from our Puppy Daycare to the regular daycare groups, this requires a commitment to attending the same day(s) each week with regular weekly attendance. We have created our daycare with these requirements for the comfort of your dog, so they know their daycare friends and have consistency. Please see our adult daycare page for more details.
