We offer flexible group training classes for dogs of all ages and skill levels. In our unique program you and your dog will work at your own pace, advance forward when you are ready and go as far as you want. Whether you want a well-behaved companion dog, or a Canine Good Citizen our Companion Dog training program is the one for you.


Flex Class Scheduling:

  • Applies to the Companion Dog Obedience series of classes
  • Two months of unlimited classes
  • Companion Dog Puppy Primer, Fundamentals & Essentials classes are offered evening and weekends at both locations

As you will see below our curriculum is divided into three learning levels including one just for puppies. Each level has its own skill requirements you and your dog must meet before moving to the next level. You will work your way through each level and the skills at your own speed. Continue training until you feel like you and your dog have accomplished your goals.

We strongly recommend everyone complete through at least Companion Dog Essentials.


Companion Dog Puppy Primer – Open to puppies 10 weeks to 20 weeks

Companion Dog Fundamentals – Open to dogs over 20 weeks old and Puppy Primer graduates

Companion Dog Essentials – Open to CD Fundamental graduates


Owners will learn how to use the science based method of positive reinforcement training techniques with food rewards to develop skills and habits that are desirable for their lifestyle. This is an ALL positive, canine friendly approach that gets results and creates a great relationship between humans and their dogs.

 

Once you complete the registration process, the Flex Pass begins, 2 months starts ticking.


Remember you are purchasing 2 months of training. Unlimited classes.

Class Application

Your spot in class will NOT be held without payment and  proof of vaccinations.


Proof of rabies vaccination is required, except for puppies under the age of 12 weeks.


Proof of  Distemper/Parvo vaccine given at or after 8 weeks of age and at least 5 days before beginning is required for Puppy Primer classes.


Companion Dog

Puppy Primer

$245 + Tax

For families and their puppies from 10 to 20 weeks of age at the start of class.


In this science based, ALL positive reinforcement training method class, you and your family will learn how to get behaviors you want and management tools for dealing with unwanted behaviors.

This class is geared for our young learners with skill building, focus & attention, impulse control, recall and loose leash walking.

We will also cover socialization and puppy parenting topics like chewing, jumping, nipping and house training.

Class enrollment is considered confirmed once your class application, the copy of current vaccinations,

and payment has been received.

Companion Dog 

 Fundamentals

This class is for dogs and their families that are over 20 weeks of age.

And any puppy that has completed Puppy Primer.


We will build skills starting with name recognition, focus/attention, impulse control, sits & downs, greetings, leave it, recall and loose leash walking.

In addition to obedience skills we will also explore various ways to create body awareness to build confidence and experiment with numerous forms of enrichment.

Owners will learn how to use the science based method of positive reinforcement training techniques with food rewards to develop skills and habits that are desirable for their lifestyle. This is an ALL positive, canine friendly approach that gets results and creates a great relationship between humans and their dogs.

Companion Dog 

 Essentials

This class is open tor dogs that have successfully completed Companion Dog Fundamentals with My Dog's Place


This class is Essential to building the skills our companion dogs need to be successful in life. We will continue to develop impulse control, waiting at doors, settling on a mat, loose leash walking, leave it and recall while gradually adding distractions.

Owners will learn how to use the science based method of positive reinforcement training techniques with food rewards to develop skills and habits that are desirable for their lifestyle. This is an ALL positive, canine friendly approach that gets results and creates a great relationship between humans and their dogs.

Companion Dog - Advanced

This is open to dogs who have successfully

completed Companion Dog Essentials with My Dog's Place.


Now that we have built a great foundation of skills, we will continue to improve their responses around distractions and excitement.

We will cover topics from the AKC Canine Good Citizen test such as “Greeting a friendly stranger” and loose leash walking. We will continue to add distractions and build on recall, stay, leave it, and table manners to name a few. A priority in this class is working off food rewards.
