Several days ago my two dogs were driving around doing errands with me for the day. They had more time in the car than usual and really needed a bathroom break. I felt very fortunate to find a park in a local town where dogs were allowed. I knew this as there were signs posted at intervals to pick up after your dog. Happily we set forth on our walk – about 10 steps out – squish! I stepped right in it! I looked down to discover I was located in a mine field. Poop everywhere!

As we walked, I wondered if next time I was here I would see new signs: No Dogs Allowed. Responsible dog ownership includes picking up the poop – Every Time, Every Place. No Excuses. Dog owners complain that more public areas are banning dogs. If we are not responsible, this will continue.
